Resident Director

Meet Dayna Campbell

Staff headshots

Hello! My name is Dayna Campbell and I am in my third year serving as the Resident Director for the Clinton ABC program. While I was born and raised in the Bronx, NY, I have spent almost 10 years in Central New York. I moved to the area after graduating from the Dalton School and attended Colgate University where I graduated with honors in Educational Studies and a minor in Sociology. As an undergraduate student, I was deeply involved in student activism and engagement. To name a few highly impactful experiences, I served as a tutor for Let’s Get Ready in the Bronx, NY during my first and second years of college, I have traveled to Durban and Cape Town, South Africa, and I served as the inaugural Assistant Director of Community Standards at Hamilton College. I live in Clinton with my partner Dennis and his son Okami.
I currently serve as the Director of the Office of Student Involvement at Colgate University and I am pursuing a Masters of Science Degree in Human Resource Management from Stony Brook University. My training and education have developed me as a social justice educator and intergroup dialogue facilitator.
I have been blessed to be part of the ABC program watching and supporting our amazing scholars. I get so much out of partnering with families to ensure that our scholars get the love, care, support, and guidance they need to continue to be the best versions of themselves and set themselves up for the future. Although I don’t experience life in the same ways, I understand many of the challenges that teenage men of color face in today’s world and do not shy away from difficult and necessary conversations. I look forward to continuing in this role and serving our unique community.
