Greetings! My name is Jessica Lo, and I am the new Clinton ABC House Resident Director. My family immigrated from Laos to Syracuse, New York in the early 1970s. I was fortunate to call Central New York home until 1989 when I moved to the Greater Boston area to start my own family. I am excited to return to my roots in New York!
I am a graduate of Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and have 13 years of work experience in public schools as a Bilingual/ESL teacher. In addition, I have raised three daughters who are college graduates and a son who is a junior in college. I love to garden and enjoy art of all sorts.
Although being a Resident Director is new to me, I have raised four children of my own. I understand the challenges that teenagers face these days as well as the emotions their parents may be going through as they drop them off in Clinton. I look forward to making the transition for the students as smooth as possible by providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where they can grow and excel academically and socially.
The boys and I are blessed to be a part of this unique program and lucky to have the backing of such a strong and supportive community. Together, I am confident in our ability to make this a very positive experience. Thank you to the A Better Chance of Clinton board members and the Clinton community for their kindness and generosity in welcoming me to the ABC House!
